"VALENTINE'S
DINNER ITALIAN STYLE (Music by Paul Luther)": Tuesday,
February 12 @ 5:30 p.m. .
Join
us for a casual eveining of delicious Italian dining and music by
guitarist Paul Luther. The Italian cuisine consists of Lasagna,
Italian green beans, tossed salad, breadsticks, and cherry crunch
pie. Pines Village will be catering our event.
Paul
Luther is an accomplished classical guitarist who has also enjoyed
success as a session player, songwriter, and studio engineer / producer.
He recently moved to Indiana from the UK.
Tickets
are on sale until February 8. Members are $6.00 and guests are $7.00.

This
is the second lunch and learn program scheduled at Village Park
Banta. Pat Bodensteiner, ACSW, will provide information on living
with loss of a loved one, the grieving process, and the effects
it may have on a person's physical and emotional health and offer
healthy coping strategies. A courtesy boxed lunch will be made available
to participants, but you must RSVP by February 13. This Community
Workshop is possible through funding from Northwest Indiana Community
Action.

Millie Samuelson, who was born and raised in China and enjoys sharing
stories of her family's experiences there. She also will display some
artifacts and other items from China.

Members are welcomed to meet with Michael R. Fishback, Chaplain with the Indiana State Police and Porter Hospital. He will be at Village Park Banta every Wednesday morning during the month of January. Individuals may just drop in and discuss any topic they choose.
"FITNESS CENTER - TRAINER ASSISTANCE": Starting January 15.
Lorie Ward, certified trainer, will be available every other Tuesday from noon to 3:00 p.m.. New fitness members can make appointments for initial training on the equipment, and current fitness members can request information and guidance with their fitness goals.
