Golf (Youth Sports)

2010 Junior Golf Academies

The Creekside Junior Academy offers four different levels of instruction based on age (Masters Level, Target Level, Linksters Level, and Lil’ Tigers Level). Instruction for our junior golfers begins with the basic fundamentals no matter the skill level. Each student progresses at his/her own pace.

Masters Level

Ages:

12-16

The instruction in this level is more serious and practice is more intense than any other junior programs. This program consists of six hours of total instruction. This program will prepare golfers for local competitions. Golfers will receive on-course instruction from our professionals.

Fee:

$90 for junior

$80 for each additional family member

Target Level and Linksters Level

Ages:

Target Level and Linksters Level, 6-11

Juniors in these levels will be introduced to every aspect of the game of golf. Classes are organized to provide a balance between the serious aspects of golf and the fun associated with golf as a sport.

Fee:

$60 for junior

$50 for each additional family member

Lil' Tigers Level

Ages:

3-5

See the Pee-Wee Sports page in the Preschool section for details

Fee:

$15 per class

Junior Golf Player Leagues

The Junior Challenge League was created to provide an opportunity to develop on-course skills in a fun, competitive environment. Our objective is to prepare junior golfers for tournament golf. We recommend that junior golfers have had some basic golf instruction. The league will consist of a 10-week season.

“Player of the Year” will be awarded in each age group upon conclusion of the Challenge League Season. The best five finishes from the weekly competitions will determine the highest point winner and Player of the Year. You may join the league at any time during the season. The league will be grouped according to age and skill level. The 18 and 9–hole leagues are recommended for the experienced junior golfer, and the 3 and 6-hole leagues for the newer junior golfer.

Season:

June 9- August 11

Days/Times:

Wednesdays with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Registration Fee:

Player (3 holes) & Par (6 holes) – $20

Birdie (9 holes) & Eagle (18 holes) – $30

Green Fees will be paid weekly upon check-in at the golf course
