The Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation is always thinking of new and innovative ways to bring fun and family together in our beautiful park environments. Here’s what we have lined up for the 2008 season!

Moraine Disc Golf Challenge

May 10 (Intermediate/Recreation/Juniors 16 and under Divisions)

Valparaiso's 6th Annual Triathlon

Location:

Rogers-Lakewood Park and community areas

 

Swim:

1/4 mile (Loomis Lake)

12.4 miles (County Roads)

3.3 miles (Street Course)

 

Ages:

Male/Female four-year increments (ex: 20-24)
Must be 15 years old by Dec.31 2008 to participate.

Saturday, July 12, 8:00 a.m. start

 

Awards:

Division winners will be awarded in each age division for male and female and overall male and female.

 

Registration:

Register online at http://getmeregistered.com/ValpoTri or through the Valparaiso Family YMCA at 462-4185. Space is limited to the first 500 participants.

This is a sanctioned USA Triathlon Event

 

Fee:

$55 for non-USA Triathlon Members

$45 for USA Triathlon Members through July 3

$10 Late Fee July 4-July 10

No registrations after July 10

 

Junior Triathlon NEW!

Ages:

6-14 (as of December 31, 2008)
