It’s Our Parks Department. Let’s All Get Involved.
The Valparaiso Parks Department thrives on volunteers giving of their time and
desiring to help our programs, sports, and individual park locations. The
countless hours of volunteer service and positive attitudes are what enables us
to provide great programs to the public. It’s their dedication and loyalty that
allows the Parks to grow, while maintaining a quality of service that the people
of Valparaiso deserve and have come to expect. We welcome individuals of all
ages looking for volunteerism opportunities and ways to get involved!
When it
comes to our annual Valparaiso events, we truly rely on our volunteers to make
each one a memorable success. Some of these special events include the Junior
Triathlon, Adult Triathlon, Popcorn Panic and Popcorn Puff, 4th of July, and the
Concerts in the Park. Without the aid of volunteers, these events would be
impossible to host. And did you know that all Parks sports programs require two
to three volunteer coaches per team? It truly is our volunteers that allow our
programs to run as smoothly as they do.
